- When she was a child, as she said, was really really shy,
but on any kind of stage, something like dancing recital, she felt no fear.

- Graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts and majored acting.

- Directed and produced Public Service Campaign,
Stop the Hate
for innocent Arab Americans in 2002.

- Son, William Atticus Parker was born on January 7, 2004. His father is Billy Crudup.

- Selected as the 2nd of Entertainment Weekly Must List in 2004.

- Selected as one of 5 Sexiest Single Mom by Date in 2005.

- Adopted an Ethiopian baby girl in September, 2007.
The baby's name is Caroline Aberash Parker, and is also called Ash.
The name, Caroline is from MLP's mother, Caroline-Louise Parker.

- Honored as one of Entertainers of the Year from Entertainment Weekly, November 2007.

- Selected as the top of TV's 50 Most Eligible Bachelorettes of 2009 by BuddyTV.
